The herbicide provides lawn care contractors and golf course managers a first crack on weed control and additional time to complete the first applications of the season. Labeled for use on turf during both the cool and warm seasons, the product offers strong post-emergence weed control in a adaptable formulation.

Defendor, with its active ingredient of florasulam, is absorbed via the leaves, shoots and roots of susceptible weeds. It works as an ALS inhibitor, stopping enzyme synthesis and cell division in the weeds. When applied early in the season, development of susceptible weeds will be checked immediately and the weeds will die within two to four weeks.
